Born in British Columbia, Canada, Jennifer Pride holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (2010) and Library Technician’s diploma (2013) from the University of the Fraser Valley.
Her practice explores what is cyclical in this world. It looks at rhythm and patterning; renewal and decay; imprinting and impermanence. It seeks to better understand how these terms relate to the self, the body and the other. Her works are concerned with the act of metamorphosis and of transformation. She produces multi-media works as well as video and performance pieces.
She has exhibited throughout the Fraser Valley, and the lower mainland of British Columbia.
